I've had a lot of issues trying to get the SCM Microsystems SCR331 to work with win 7 x64. These procedures are applicable to the following reader models: SCR331 non-CCID,• Compliant with all major smart cards and relevant industry standards • Customizable with various color options and the printing of company logos and brands • Fully compatible with existing product family (SCR33xx) for seamless qualification and integration We installed the latest SCR33X drivers’SCR3xxx_INST_WIN_V8.57_00004001001-20131030.exe from identive-group.com and the latest motherboard drivers. If we safe remove the card reader we get the same error on device manger for SCR33X device. Below is the device & the card.

Issue. The sssd configuration appears to be attempting to do pkinit however the p11_child.log seems not do have the PIN. From the krb5_child log: (Wed Sep 7 14:24:48 2016) [[sssd[krb5_child[21093]]]] [sss_krb5_prompter] (0x0020): Cannot handle password prompts. ~~~.
