After installing the drivers you need to reboot the machine to enable it to finish its configuration. before i gutted it out and put all new stuff in, my computer was once an eMachines C6415. it has a built in card reader that 7 identifies, but just as a generic card reader. there are windows xp drivers for it that will give them certain icons and specify what kind of slot they are, but i . Your best option is to just purchase another card reader. I have seen some ZiO drivers online, but I would not trust drivers that are provided by an unknown source. That is just begging for trouble.
Microtech appears to have updated this support page with a fix for using their latest card reader drivers with 10.1.3. There is also a new page on 10.1.3 specific drivers for the ZiO!.
