I read the tag in NFC Tools.app and it reads the info on the tag immediately. I’ve done some digging on the googs, and it seems this was an issue during the betas of iOS 14. I’m on iOS 15 public beta 5, and my wife is on iOS 14.7.1 (with an iPhone 12 not-pro) - this behavior is consistent between both of our phones.
